“소비자의 만족도가 눈에 띄게 향상되는 것을 경험할 수 있었습니다”브로셔에만 의존했던 안경렌즈 정보, SOLOS 도입으로 고민 해결객관적 데이터를 시각적으로 확인, 소비자의 신뢰도 및 객단가 상승Topcon healthcare에서 올해 봄에 출시한 신제품인 SOLOS (Automatic Lens Analyzer)가 안경사들의 새로운 무기로 주목받고 있다. 육안으로는 구분하기 힘든 기능성 렌즈의 차이를 고객의 눈높이에서 효과적으로 설명하기에 최적화된 장비여서다. 특히, 다초점렌즈의 경우 고객으로서는 가격대별 차이를 명확하게 이해하기 어려운 게 현실이다. 더군다나 상담 시 안내받은 렌즈가 자신의 안경에 정확히 장착됐는지도 확인하기 어려운 구조다. 다초점렌즈에 대한 클레임이 끊이질 않는 배경이다. 하지만 SOLOS라면 이야기가 달라진다. 각각의 렌즈가 가진 특성을 소비자가 시각적으로 확인할 수 있어서다. 고객의 클레임 감소는 물론 객단가 상승까지 끌어내고 있는 SOLOS의 특장점에 대해 안경원에서 직접 사용해본 경험을 이두환 박사에게 들어본다.이 박사는 안경사 면허 취득 후 호주 시드니대학교에서 사시교정학을 전공했으며, 한양대학교 의학과에서 박사 학위를 취득한 후 경기도 안산시에서 비스포크 안경원을 운영하고 있다. 또 동남보건대학교 안경광학과 겸임교수로 후학 양성에도 힘쓰고 있는 교육자다.Q. 안녕하세요 박사님, 안경원과 박사님 소개를 부탁드립니다.A. 안녕하세요. 저는 경기도 안산시에 위치한 비스포크 안경원의 이두환 박사입니다. 1993년에 피카소 안경원으로 개원한 이후부터 운영을 시작하여 2024년 새로운 검안 시스템과 함께 재탄생하였습니다.기존 안경원의 컨셉에서 벗어나 안질환과 눈 건강 관리에 중점을 둔 보다 차별화된 검안 서비스를 내원하시는 분들께 제공하는 것을 목표로 삼고 있습니다.Q. 올해 초 출시한 Topcon healthcare의 SOLOS를 도입 결정하시게 된 이유가 무엇인가요?A. 대한민국을 포함하여 전 세계적으로 눈 건강 및 노안 등과 관련된 소비자의 인식이 높아지고 있습니다. 소비자들은 안경이 단순히 부족한 시력을 보완하기 위한 용도로 사용하는 것을 넘어서 자신의 라이프 스타일에 맞춰 눈 건강을 유지하기 위한 용도로 착용하는 사례가 점차 늘어나고 있습니다.이러한 소비자의 니즈를 맞추기 위해서 안경사 선생님들은 안경 렌즈의 특성에 따라 소비자에게 최적의 렌즈를 추천 및 처방해줄 필요가 있습니다만, 그동안 안경 렌즈에 대한 정보는 렌즈 제작사에서 제공하는 브로셔에만 의존할 수밖에 없었기 때문에 맞춤형 처방의 한계가 있었습니다. 그러나 저희 비스포크 아이케어 안경원에서는 SOLOS를 도입함으로써 이러한 고민은 더 할 필요가 없어졌습니다. 그 이유로는 안경 렌즈들의 물리적/광학적 특성들을 객관적인 데이터로 소비자들에게 보여주며 시력 교정 및 눈 건강을 위한 맞춤형 안경 렌즈 처방이 가능해졌기 때문입니다.Q. 현재 박사님이 SOLOS를 활용 방법은 무엇인가요?A. 새로 내원한 소비자가 착용하고 있는 안경을 문진을 하는 동안 SOLOS로 측정한 뒤, 기본적인 검안을 마치고 나서 현재 착용하고 있던 안경의 특성을 SOLOS에서 제시해주는 결과지를 활용하여 상담을 진행합니다.기존 렌즈 미터를 통해서는 안경 렌즈의 3~4mm 직경 내에서의 굴절력 및 UV/블루라이트 차단율 정도만을 파악할 수 있지만, SOLOS를 통해서는 렌즈 전반에 걸쳐 굴절력 매핑 정보, 분광계를 통한 UVA~가시광선 영역에서의 투과율과 색상 정보들을 한 번의 측정으로 확인할 수 있어 도움이 많이 되고 있습니다.이 정보들을 소비자에게 보여주며 기존 안경 렌즈에서의 장단점을 설명해드리면 자연스럽게 맞춤 안경 렌즈 처방에 대한 긍정적인 반응과 더불어 그 필요성을 소비자들이 매우 쉽게 이해했습니다.더 나아가 안경 조제 가공 후 검수하는 과정에서 SOLOS를 활용하면 보다 정확하게 조제 가공된 안경의 상태를 소비자에게 보여드릴 수 있고, 최종 전달해드렸을 때 소비자의 만족도가 눈에 띄게 향상되는 것과 함께 클레임이 감소하는 것을 경험할 수 있었습니다.Q.
